Language proficiency
Study in English, in French or in both languages
All courses at Saint Paul University are given in English, in French, or in both languages. To gain admission, you must therefore demonstrate proficiency in one of these languages.
I am applying for admission to a program offered in French:
If you’re applying for an French-language program and you have not completed at least three years of full-time study in an institution where French is the only language of instruction, located in a country where French is one of the official languages, you must submit your official score in one of the following language tests recognized by the University, DELF or DALF.
Approved examination centres outside France for DELF or DALF

For students from the BIR Training Center (Chicago, Illinois, US): Students who have successfully completed Levels 5 and 6 of the BIR Training Center English Language Test Preparation Program can submit their results in order to meet the language requirements for an undergraduate admission to Saint Paul University. This is an alternative to language proficiency testing such as TOEFL, IELTS and similar tests.
Language tests
Scores indicated below are required for all programs offered in a direct-entry faculty. Even if you achieve the required score, we reserve the right to ask you to take language courses if we feel that your knowledge of one of the two official languages is not satisfactory. Test scores are valid for two years.
What score must I obtain in recognized ESL proficiency tests?
