Announcing a Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis declared that in Jesus, the face of the Father’s mercy, the Christian discovers a “bridge that connects God and humanity, opening our hearts to the hope of being loved forever despite our sinfulness.” He invites all those who have encountered the merciful love of God to renew their efforts to practise the works of mercy.
