In the presence of Saint Paul University Rector Chantal Beauvais, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul vice-President Patrick O’Donnell and Ottawa Catholic School Board trustee John Curry, Samantha Kosierb was the proud recipient of a $5,000 bursary from the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (Ottawa) to study at Saint Paul University. The bursary will be awarded annually to a graduating Grade 12 student in the Ottawa Catholic School Board who has demonstrated a record of involvement and commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith and to social justice in his or her high school and parish. Samantha, a recent grade 12 graduate at Stittsville’s Sacred Heart High School, will start the human relations and spirituality program in September. She intends to pursue social justice initiatives and teaching.
